If you don't want to mention the !DERANGED weather, then I will ;)
Winter Solstice is called "Wintersonnenwende" here. The word includes "Sonne", which means "sun", but where is she? If it had snowed that much instead of raining since yesterday we would have more than one meter I think ;)
Tomorrow morning at 5:19 our time the Winter will begin. I do hope, that the rain then changes to snow ;) lol

Do you celebrate Winter Solstice over there? I ask because you said "Happy Winter Solstice". Here many people don't even know what that means ;)

Wintersonnenwende I like that has a nice sound to it, I dont think it is celebrated as such here but many say Happy Winter Solstice, I am just happy as it means the days will start getting longer slowly lOL

I may not be !DERANGED but I share deranged tokens, similarly I don't drink !BEER anymore

Right, the days will be longer and the nights shorter - about 1-2 minutes each day from tomorrow on ;)

and thats something i look forward to, this leaving for work ( OK on the days I do mow LOL) in the dark and getting home in the dark can make one feel !DERANGED

I love leaving home early in the dark, but not coming home late.
That's why I begin at 6 and end my work day most times after 8 hours at 2pm at the latest.

Well yes when I leave work at 3 it isnt dark, but by the time I get off the train back home in CT it is
But thats a commute I wont be dealing with for too much longer as you know and I am somewhat !DERANGED Happy about that LOL

I'm glad I haven't such a long way to commute - if I forget something at home I can quickly drive home and be back half an hour later :)
If I was you, I'd be !DERANGED happy to retire, just because I wouldn't have to commute anymore. You spend so much time to and from work.

If I forget something then I am stuck without it for the day, the worse being my ID card , getting to the city at 7, and having to wait till 9 till I can get a temp ID card from Security LOL, now that could make one !DERANGED

That would be very understandable for sure, if you lose 2 hours just because of a small plastic card.
