NextColony.io - Ingame Sneak Preview of a BETA-Tester

Not for long, and the game begins. NextColony.io is currently in the final stages of development and will go live at 20:00 UTC on 21 April. Since I was invited as a beta tester to the 6-person team, I would like to give you a short and rough overview of what happens in the game. In the 9 minutes long video I show you some of the features and functions in the game and show you what the front-end looks like so far.

As mentioned in the video, an auction is currently taking place to buy one of the legendary planets. If you would like to bid, you can do so at https://nextcolony.io/ . The bids are really going up at the moment and nobody wants to be underbid.

WOW another Boring game that totally Ignores our FULLY available Steem 3d and VR system @dlux-io by @disregardfiat and @markegiles

way to just ignore existing steem talent and refuse to dream of building something actually INTERESTING with a 3d VISUAL element beyond a 1990s style Multi User Dungeon .....

look at that terribly boring interface! wow! That looks SO not fun to stare at a screen full of numbers, with a few pictures of some planets!

wow another boring game Just like Drugwars where you Pay to win, and the game dynamics change over time to make it less fun and more profitable for the developers!

Oh whats that?You dont PLAN on irrationality maximizing profits for yourselves eventually and springing changes on us like drugwars and steem monsters did? OOh ok... can we get that in writing? Didnt think so....

so you want us to buy some of your "Tokens" too right?

WOW , this REALLY deserved to be the "In game footage sneak peak" alright... you sure couldnt have worked ANY harder AT ALL or hired actual graphic designers to make a VISUAL element to the boring blockchain statistics....

Drugwars in space..... great... not a single real world element , no taking advantage of the social media aspect of steem, no space based LARPING, great, whats the point of even playing? if its just drugwars in space?

The game looks amazing so far! Thanks a lot for this preview. Questions (to you or @oliverschmid):

Do you have to find other player by exploration?
Will alliances share their explored territory?
How do you settle on a new planet? With transporters?
Are there any benefits of sending out more than 1 explorer to a target area? I saw that you were losing explorers on missions, maybe this can be prevented by sending larger fleets?
Are there limits in place on how many resources one can buy in the shop? Otherwise it will be 100% pay to win.

Es gibt eine große Karte, d.h. jeder sieht die erkundeten Felder aller Spieler

Mit einem Explorer. Dann benötigst Du den Transp. für die ersten Rohstoffe.
Nein, ein Explorer reicht. Die Lost-Rate des Explorers haben heute von 50% auf 0% gesetzt. Dafür sind die Explorer langsamer geworden.
Wir stellen täglich nur eine begrenzte Anzahl an Items zur Verfügung. Da können wir jederzeit runter drehen. Mit dieser Stellschraube haben wir das gut im Griff.

dude, that sort of map should only be suited for an In game map, to be used at the botton corner of the screen or some sort of Menu map, but we should have a @dlux.io powered 3d element to the game, which can just overlay onto the blocklchaina nd display some 3d models corresponding to whatever is in 2d, i mean come on its 2019 , we need to stop coddling these game developers and project managers and being Yes men, we need to ask them tough questions, and push them out of their comfort zones to get REAL UNIQUE results and INNOVATION that BRINGS PEOPLE TO STEEM not boring games, we need EXCITING games that use the EXISTING 3d graphics you can have interacting with the blockchainb using https://dlux.io and yes it needs a lot rmeo work and thast what game dveelopers need to be doing for steem....

Ok cool. Aber das heißt dann natürlich, dass jeder für jeden anderen mit explored. Wobei... muahaha, ich weiß schon, welche Strategie ich fahren werde.

Gibt's dann so was wie eine Übersichtskarte oder muss man sich da durchklicken wie ein Irrer?

Darf ich was anregen: Wie wäre es, wenn nach dem Entdecken eines Planeten ein Timer eingebaut wird, in dem nur der Entdecker besiedeln darf? Ansonsten gibt es auf kurz oder lang sicher irgend ein perverses Tool, das Alarm schlägt, sobald ein legendary planet entdeckt wurde, und als Explorer hast du dann genau nichts mehr davon.

Ohh super cool! Ein erster Einblick. 😄

Bei den Schiffen, stand dabei das sie eine Abwehr haben. Das bedeutet irgendwann könnten dann Schiffe angegriffen werden?

Und soweit ich es verstanden habe, startet man nach der Registrierung mit einem Planeten den man quasi besiedeln/aufbauen muss. 😄

Jup. Tim (@rondras) und @Jarunik sitzen gerade an einem ziemlich ausgeklügelten Kampfsystem.

Korrekt, das besiedeln/aufbauen ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil, daher Colony im Namen.

Das Spiel sieht wirklich cool aus und weckt mein Interesse! Kann man dieses dann nur spielen, wenn man so einen Planeten ersteigert hat? Oder was für eine Rolle werden diese legendären Planeten später spielen? 😊

Du bekommst einen kostenfreien Startplaneten. Zur Frage nach der Rolle des Planeten, zitiere ich mich mal selbst:

"Es werden sich rund um die legendären Planeten Allianzen bilden, denn diese sind die Voraussetzung für den Bau eines Weltwunders. Ein Weltwunder ist der Schlüssel zum Reward-Pool."

Sieht echt interessant aus.
Gibt es auch Einblicke über den Planeten?
Also sowas wie die Oberfläche, wie das aussieht dort usw?
Oder wird es eher nüchtern (nicht negativ gemeint) eine Wirtschaftssimulation werden die mehr von Statistiken lebt?

Ich finde es genial, ein Spiel entstehen zu sehen, was nicht von einem großen Publisher auf den Markt geworfen wird.

Wir wollen auf jeden Fall mehr mit dem einzelnen Planeten machen, für die nächsten Wochen arbeitet @bronkong jedoch bereits am Anschlag.

You have to Explore frame by frame - field by field with one explorer ship. a frame at random is not good :D maybe you will fly a year and run out of uranium
