Thanksgiving-Beautiful and Sublime

It is time again for a Sunday post for #BeautifulSunday by @ace108 and #SublimeSunday by @c0ff33a!

My family is all here for the weekend and I have had no time to be on Steem.

On Saturday we celebrated Thanksgiving.
This guy read the invitation wrong, but enjoyed a feast outdoors under the bird feeder while we were busy in the kitchen getting food ready for the table.

The weather in Wisconsin today kept the up north part of the family away. Snow and ice made travel too dangerous, so instead of the 15 we had planned for, there were only 11 around the table.

My son chose the wine, and look what we had with our meal, @barbara-orenya. It was perfect!

And here are a couple of the food pictures that I promised @denissemata. I always get busy with last minute details for the meal and never have time to take photos of the food.

I was too full of turkey and stuffing and mashed potatoes and had no room for dessert, so I am thinking pumpkin pie for breakfast will be a good choice!

What an awesome celebration, Melinda! So glad most of your family was able to make it, and even though I'm stuffed on another meal of leftovers from our own small celebration, your food photos made me hungry again! There were 3 turkeys out there and they inspired lots of turkey jokes. My dil is from Russia and she made some good 'only in America' jokes and was sending pictures to friends in Moscow. We have plenty of leftovers, too. I won't have to do any cooking for everyone today!

Oh my ! I'm always enjoying so much to see your family gathered and share a little moment with you all !
And the icing on the cake is that you thought of me when your son brought this french white wine !! A wine from the part of the country where my MonChéri does come from, the beautiful Alsace 😉

I'm sure you had a wonderful time together, even without the missing part of family, that was more secure to stay there so you had no worries about their safety..

What a lovely gathering, Melinda. Thanksgiving meal looks delicious and pumpkin pie is always good anytime-breakfast or midnight.

Beautiful looking meal! Nice photos, too, although some are a bit tilted. Maybe that wine was more potent than it looks! :-)

The tilt was intentional silly! Or maybe it was the 2nd glass of wine!
The kids were speculating about which one of them might be quick enough to run down and catch the turkey, and I did suggest that if they caught it they would come out the loser.😅😜
