RE: Open Letter To Steem Community

in #steemit5 years ago (edited)

Nice to hear from you again @justinsunsteemit. In my comment on your first post, I wrote:

"... there is a universal truth about our human nature! We do not handle communication voids well. In the absence of the requested good, clear and consistent communication, the resulting void will be filled. Quickly. And you can rest assured, it is very unlikely to be filled in a positive, constructive manner."

Surprise, surprise. 10 days later, we hear from you again. Under what circumstances? While making no claims to being clairvoyant, I would suggest the void you left has been filled ...

To what end? Do you believe it was filled "in a positive, constructive manner?" Those of us who have been working long and hard to add value to our Steem blockchain are looking forward to learning the answer. At the earliest opportunity. Please. And thank you ...

Good question.

Thank you for sharing link to your comment with me @roleerob.

It's hard not to agree with you, that lack of communication creates void which probably will be filled with fear and hostile behaviours. I'm seriously glad that Justin seem to care more about reaching out to steem community than Ned ever did.

One problem I see is the fact, that many power users are openly hostile and very agressive towards Justin and spreading fear within our community. So many oeople do not seem to be willing to give him a chance. Lack of patience is huge problem here.

I'm myself still quite optimistic.
ps. Please consider posting next time within project.hope HIVE if your topic is related to technology, blockchain, AI, economy, business etc. It would help me with your content discovery.

The young Mr. Sun's decision (or indecision?) to leave a communication void @crypto.piotr was most definitely filled. As I said it would, having been "through the wars" and having lived through many instances where this remarkably common mistake was made ...

Whether you are a "fan" of the resulting Softfork 22.2 decision is now a moot point. Trust is an essential element in a mutually beneficial business transaction. How do you think that is going so far?

Hi again @roleerob

How do you think that is going so far?

I'm seriously terrified while seeing conflict between Justin and witnesses unfolding :/

ps.
Can I ask you for little favour? I joined contest called "Community of the week" with project I manage and I would be grateful if you could RESTEEM it and help me get some exposure and drop some encouraging comment :)

Link to my post: on steemit or on steempeak

Thanks :)
Yours, Piotr

I've just captured all of my thoughts on this unfolding "war" on my "Minority Report ..." post @crypto.piotr. No time to go into this further, but this post will answer your question.

Way behind on way too many things "out there" to spend any more time "in here." I may be back tomorrow to see what else is going on, including maybe having time to look at your post.
