Made this short clip from the photograph to make it come to live with the help of Motion Graphics.
...outrageous, I know. It has been a while since posting. But good stuff coming up! I had a few appointments for some projects this year, and I'm thrilled about it. It gives me some kind of safe feeling to get back on my horse and run the show again of my photography business. Which is part of my absence these days, gotta pay the bills!
During Christmas I recovered some of my old stuff from my mom's place, I'm talking about Lego, Warhammer figures, MTG cards and to my surprise, I had stashed some of my gems all this time. Pretty awesome and nostalgic stuff.
While having sorted everything out at the moment, I thought it would be cool to take some close-ups of rock crystal (not entirely sure if this is the right translation) to share with you all. My grandfather carved and polished most of the stones, so they are pretty valuable to me.
Cheers,
Ruben

They turned out pretty awesome if you'd ask me. I love the contrast of the texture and how the light reflects through and against it. The first image is an artwork that I made of a photograph of a small Amethyst rock formation.

Something special about this Amethyst is that there are golden flakes inside of it. How awesome is that! Of course, the Amethyst is purple, but I color graded it to a blue-ish tone, which I used for the artwork.
