January Witness Chat Recording

The monthly Witness Chat on January 14th was well attended and lively.

I was pleased to welcome @elipowell and @justinw from the Steemit team. Several witnesses also took part int he discussions.

We led off with the Steemit team giving us some updates on what has been happening with them. Of course the biggest topics of discussion were the upcoming Communities and SMT both of which are in beta and testnet respectively.

@elipowell also talked about the current status of the ad revenue which is doing well. The monthly revenue has moved from about $3k to around $20k. Not close to what is needed to avoid any monthly sell down of their stake but it’s being worked on.
