That happens only with Steemit's own nodes. Please go to Settings and switch to a different Steem node. As currently nearly all nodes seem to be replaying the blockchain, there are not many working ones available right now. I'm currently using 'appbasetest.timcliff.com' or 'rpc.curiesteem.com'.
