What Is The Steem Underground?
@steemunderground is a new curation initiative whose focus will be on conspiracy theories, the paranormal, strange phenomena, cryptids, time travel, and anything else belonging to the world of the weird. Our goal is to find posts on the Steem blockchain that challenge the mainstream narrative, dig them up, and bring them out into the light for all to see.
Being a new account, our upvote isn't worth a lot; so, our main avenue of supporting your content will be through exposure. We will be combing through applicable tags every day and sharing posts that we find interesting. Once we get things rolling, we also plan on putting out a weekly curation digest highlighting our favorite underground posts from that week.
How To Be Included
To be considered for curation by @steemunderground, all you need to do is produce a well written post or video about any fringe topic or conspiracy theory and use one of the following tags:

*Please do not abuse tags by posting irrelevant articles under them. Doing so will disqualify your article from curation.
We may add more tags to the list if we feel that it is appropriate down the road.
How You Can Help
As a fledgling curation service, we understand that we have a long road ahead of us before becoming relevant on the Steem blockchain; however, we feel that conspiratorial and paranormal topics are a bit under-represented here on Steemit and its other front ends. If you would like to help us to encourage the development of this niche, all we ask is that you upvote our original posts and share our curation digest posts when the time comes. All of our original posts will be set to 100% SP, so every upvote we receive will go directly toward helping us reward you. We hope to eventually accrue enough SP to have a more substantial vote. By sharing you will help to get the word out about the Steem Underground.
While we will definitely not turn down any SP delegations, we are not currently lobbying for them. This is because we feel that asking for delegations would obligate us to reward said delegations. We would love to do something like this in the future; but for now, we don't have time to manually keep up with the math behind calculating the rewards, and we don't know how to write an API to keep up with it. We don't really even know what an API is... we've just seen other people mention them, and we want to sound like we know what we're talking about.
So, if you would like to delegate a few SP just because you believe in the cause or you know how to develop an API that could keep up with the numbers for us, please let us know!
You can also follow our curation trail using SmartSteem or a similar application. This would help us reward Steem's Underground content while also earning you a passive return in the form of curation rewards.
