When I was young, I didn't really enjoy eating fruits that much. Well, except for banana, orange and apple which are quite common and easily available in my country. They're also cheaper compared to the other fruits sold.
Anyway, this is my entry for ASEAN Hive Community Challenge #95 with the topic, My Favorite Fruits.
Despite mentioning those three common fruits that I often have at home, my favorite fruits are quite different. Let me share some of them. :)
First up, we have these two weird-looking yet delicious fruits. :)
Although opening this fruit is quite a struggle, this has been my favorite for quite a while now. I like the combination of sweet and sour taste of mangosteen. It has this really thick peeling which would dye your fingers purple, but the white fruit inside is truly refreshing.
It's not available the whole year round in my area, but when it is, I make it a point to buy some. I just can't get enough of this delicious treat!
Next fruit is rambutan. This was my favorite fruit for the longest time. I guess, this has been my favorite since elementary years. I like how sweet and juicy it is! It might look weird and resemble a sea urchin from the outside, but it's heaven on the inside.
Lastly, I love this white dragon fruit!
Last year, one of my friends gave us some dragon fruits from their farm and he included some white ones. It was my first time eating this, but I was really enjoying its taste.
Unlike the usual dragon fruit which is mostly a little bit sweet, this white dragon fruit is a bit sweet and sour. It's as refreshing as the mangosteen, but with a unique texture. It's quite rare, so I can't have it often. I'd definitely order once it's time for harvest in my friend's farm again. hahaha
Well, those are my ultimate favorite fruits. However, as I've mentioned earlier, I don't have them as often as the common or easily available fruits.
Here's a drawing I made of these easily available fruits. We have some bananas, an orange, an apple and a refreshing lemon. :) They're not exactly my favorite, but I do enjoy eating them as well.
That's it for this post. Thanks for checking and I'll see you around! (^^,)/
