I think when talking about big content creators from other platforms, you also should keep in mind what content they produce and who their fans are. Some big influencers probably have 99% followers under the age of 17-18, while I suppose 99% of the STEEM accounts belong to people 18 years or older.

So if such a star just comes to Steemit/Dtube/Dlive and expects the same results with little to no community interaction (watch your examples amount of meaningful comments f.e.), they will fail. And it is great that they do.

Also, they only earn anything around here only for 7 days, while on youtube they may earn something as long as the video is online.

I understand what you're trying to say, but I'm pretty sure that there are enough people on Youtube in their twenties.

I personally grew up with the internet in my teens.

And looking into the future - young generations are always more in touch with new tech than older generations. So I would try to get as many as possible to join Steem.


With that said: I do get what you're saying and yes, holding a conversation requires somewhat of a mental age, but it's dangerous to lump all kids & teens together,
