I agree with most of your post.
Nevertheless I think the SPS is quite a big improvement that could lead to more developers working on the Steem platform.
On the split between author and curator, I think this is too positive for curators and « whales ».
Finally, I agree that the main reason I see for Steem being so low is the absence of marketing and on boarding campaigns !
Therefore, steem inc. should allow funds for this issue.
