Every day when I go out on the street for work or because I want to take a photo, I usually see my surroundings and there are many images that generate feelings in me, and I wonder every day how it is possible that we have reached this point where everything looks in decline and above all how the human being is increasingly poorer or at least does not have the basics in this life. And it is no secret that in my country Venezuela for many years we have been in decline with respect to the economy and society.
Now it is more common to see elderly people working in the street, looking for their daily bread because pensions are not enough due to how expensive life has become, young people who end up living on the street, either because they are fleeing from dysfunctional families or simply because they do not have the ability to have a job and a safe roof.
But it is like that every day I usually see these problems, people who must fight every day simply to be able to live, at least to be able to eat lunch, when in other times or even other countries that is so basic that it is normal. This is how I show this series of photos that reflects a little of what I have been saying previously, unfortunately it is what is lived every day and for many it is normal, but in my case it always generates a point of reflection and I continue to insist on the question of how long will we be like this or are we condemned to be like this forever.
All photographs are my own.
