RE: Can Your Witness Vote Really Make a Difference? See for yourself.

in #witness-category6 years ago (edited)

I can assure you it wasn't intentional on Jackmillers part if people were tagged and they have changed their votes in the last 7 days.

I have been in @thealliance chat room with @jackmiller as he went, one by one, checking each name over the last 7 days. If you have changed your votes in the last 7 days your name might be there by mistake.

Based on the positive response to this post you seem to be the only person upset by being reminded that you have/had dead witnesses you are voting for.

How is this a bad thing to inform people, not all, but ones that do have dead witnesses they are voting for, that they should double check and at least remove their vote?

Nowhere has he asked for a vote. Nowhere has he told people who to vote for. Is it so hard to realize there are honest people in the world?

JackMiller has made it to every Witness chat that @Shadowspub has had in The Ramble Discord. so I'm not sure how you have not known he wasn't a Witness. He has been in the top 50 witnesses for over a year.

Have a nice Sunday.

I certainly am or was not the only person being irritated about being tagged (not the other stuff!) but obviously the only one showing it that clearly.

And I as I just mentioned in my reply to @shadowspub I currently have very few time during the week to check Steemit or the chats. Even before I was assigned to the course I'm attending now I did not find the time to attend the mentioned radio shows.
You both probably would have noticed if I had since my (German) nickname is not that common. :)

checking each name over the last 7 days

Ouch. I did not dare to know that actually. He's got the numbers up at the beginning of the post. Still, it's some privacy issue. Even if there's an easy way to retrieve a user's witness votes list.

I register a clear disapproval of me being not spending my awake time on Steemit. Well, I did that for some months and it did not do good for my mental state. I'm glad I'm not staying at home all day having no options to escape hopelessness.
Thus, it's simply not true that I don't pay attention at all.

I register a clear disapproval of me being not spending my awake time on Steemit.

no, not disapproval at all. You ARE correct that spending your whole day on Steem is NOT healthy!! You can make yourself a tad insane if you try it.

There is a 24/7 voice chat in The Alliance that I stop in here and there when I have time. We laugh and talk about things from Poker to building pools.
I was referring to you saying you never heard of @jackmiller when he is very active on the blockchain.
saying that......there are many people that are very active that I don't know. I might have heard of them or if not I ask someone I know if they have.

Still, it's some privacy issue.

The whole point of a blockchain is that nothing is private. Everyone can find out everything you have ever done. Am I one to look in people's wallets or any deeper? no. not at all. I don't care what people have or not have. Do I think some look into my stuff if I leave a comment they might not like? I'm sure they do.....do I have to like it? no, but the power of a blockchain is you can not hide anything.

thanks for getting back to me!
