Welcome to part of of ‘I’m Falling’-my trip to Whatcom Falls! But first…..
Today started out at church. It seemed like the sanctuary wasn’t very full and then all of a sudden, it was! I guess folks were just running late. Ironically, the service ran over time wise as well. It was a wonderful word and afterwards, nobody was in a huge hurry to leave despite the fact the second service was due to start in 5 minutes! 🙀 The parking lot was unbelievably crowded and there was a bit of a wait to get out of your spot if leaving, or getting a spot if you were coming. I see now why they keep talking excitedly about 200 parking spaces for the new church! 😅
Once home, I set out to do our taxes-yes, I procrastinated AGAIN! I just hate doing them regardless of whether we get a refund or not. It’s done now so that’s a monkey off of my back! Later on, we went for a hike. Pics from this on another day.
Now, back to Whatcom Falls. The footbridge is just so pretty as you can see from the first photo, especially with all the moss and greenery around.

There is a fish hatchery here as well. This is a sluice coming down from it.
I happened upon this mallard duck. He looked like he might be contemplating the falls or maybe just resting from a rough trip down the stream!
I found this strange creature taking pictures…..
Then, we saw this even stranger guy…….
He had enough presence of mind to get out of the stream at the literal last minute, and walk around the major part of the falls. Then he and his buddies decided to run the additional falls! The water was moving seriously fast! Check this video out.
Well…..unfortunately 3speak isn’t working. It will probably show up tomorrow, so if it does, it will be in tomorrow’s post. So disappointing.
