Life has a way of making you feel as if your world is upside down! In the case of the Woolley Worm, he’s definitely experiencing that! I’m not real sure how he got to be at the end of a tall stalk of grass, but nonetheless, that’s exactly where he was. It’s been my experience that Woolley Worms are mostly a late summer/ early fall thing, yet there he was. He’s not the first either, as I’ve moved at least 3 of them to safety in the past couple of weeks. Afraid that this fella was possibly stuck and might die, I removed him and put him in the shorter grass nearby.
It’s been a mostly indoor day with computer work and doing some worship music. It had been a while since we last played, so as I set up, I tried turning my wireless mic on. The batteries were dead. I replaced them and went forward with setting up. When we got ready, I grabbed the mic and it was HOT TO THE TOUCH!!🙀🙀🙀 What?! I opened up the battery compartment and @silvertop got them out. We waited for it to cool and replaced with different batteries. They too began to get warm. I removed them and put the mic aside. We went to a wired mic to to run through the music. I’ve decided to let the wireless sit until I can get another brand of batteries and try again. If it doesn’t work, then I’m guessing that it’s been burned up. It’s a Sennheiser brand and not the low end either! It’s been with me since 2013, so I’ve gotten many years and tons of songs out of it. I really like it. I went to a Sennheiser wired mic. It works well-I just like the freedom of the wireless one.
Around 3 PM, we hit the trail for a hike. @actifit-lamb, Wellington Lamb, Penelope Pig and Pepe-yette came with. You see, they were going fishin’!
They had a fun time! Then, we went in search of the elusive Giant Snake Grass!
I also saw a couple of smaller varieties.
Check out this next one. It’s an untouched zoomed photo of the head of a Snake Grass plant. I’m thinking if I were to run it through AI, it could be even more interesting! Perhaps on another day.
We headed for home and of course, the heavens opened and it dumped. I had zero rain gear and no umbrella. Not much fun!
For those who saw my last 2 posts on our visit to Whatcom Falls Park, the kayak video finally made it. These three were either brave or foolhardy. I’m thinking the second, myself!
Crazy for sure!
Well, that’s gonna be it for today. I will leave you with a peaceful reflection picture.
Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌎🙏

NKJV Revelation 22:4-5
They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.
