Hey Actifitters,
For my first day back home yesterday, we took it easy at first. A little bit of work, a little bit of doing nothing in front of the TV. Le Chat definitely chose the same 'doing nothing' option.
The forecast kept saying snow was on its way, but I was starting to lose hope in the afternoon. And finally, it arrived! And in a short amount of time, everything was covered in this wet and heavy snow. Beautiful!
Because it was so heavy, all the trees were flattened though.
Kaia just went crazy in the yard, running everywhere. She reminded me of Genepi, who just loved snow.
Then we heard a big muffled boom in the front yard and we saw this:
It cut down the internet lines, that means no internet and no TV... So after wasting a lot of time with AT&T support, we went on a long walk in the forest with Kaia.
Walking in the snow-covered forest at night is one of my favorites!
We went to where all the trees fell down because of the storms a few months ago. I felt it was safer, as there's nothing else to fall down on us.
Kaia was still having a blast, even if the snowflakes entering her big ears were apparently annoying.
At this point, noises of branches and even trees falling down became kind of worrying, so we hurried out of the forest.
Not without a stop at our tree friend after almost 3 weeks without seeing it. Still all its leaves, even with the heavy snow.
We then followed the edge of the forest to leave, still lots of trees but more visibility to anticipate if anything falls.
And that was it. The evening and night without TV or internet was a bit weird, we had to find old DVDs! Silver lining, we discovered an old series that we liked: Orange is the new black. We'll probably binge the first two seasons over the week end, unless they fix the internet lines sooner.
