One of the biggest hurdles in the blockchain and crypto space is onboarding, and of course the ultimate goal of how to acquire the coveted mass adoption.
The consensus is that to obtain this we need a combination of educational material, that is fun and easy to watch, an easy way to make accounts, a one stop shop to find all of this and of course a community to share it through word of mouth.
Luckily for us, the amazing folks at @steemonboarding have been working on just that.
@Steemonboarding is a project founded by @anomadsoul and @coruscate to deliver an easy way to onboard the masses through their site at http://steemonboarding.com/. You will find short and fun videos in multiple languages directed at educating new users and helping them get started on Steem.
Mass adoption starts with us
Crypto is a word of mouth game. It's about planting an idea with those in our day to day lives that then starts them down the rabbit hole. To me Steem has always been the way for crypto newbs to safely explore the crypto and blockchain world, in a fun way. They can explore, learn and play while actually earning for their contributions. It's the most user friendly crypto experience for normies, but we have to tell them about it first.

For that reason I was super excited to see the Operation Mass Adoption Contest by @steemonboarding and love that they are actually rewarding us for onboarding all those people in our lives.

Who Can Join This Contest?
Anyone on the Steem Blockchain with a reputation higher than 57 and who created their account before March 2019. Any user joining the contest must be an active member of any Steem community older than one month
This kind of contests may attract people trying to rig them, that is why we are this strict in terms of Who can join.

The Rules
- The new Steemians invited, must create an account within the time limit of the contest. It doesn't matter what Account creation service they use.
- Every user you invite has to make a post introducing themselves before the end of the contest. On this introduction post they have to mention your username and why they joined Steem, otherwise said sign-up will not count for winning the contest. For this intro post, they must use the tag "newonsteem".
Need help explaining what the heck an introduction post is to them? @steemonboarding has you covered:
- @OCD will be curating the tag "new-on-steem". So please make sure these new Steemians you invited use the tag for their introduction post! Anyone using this tag for anything other than their introduction post WILL BE FLAGGED, so please avoid using the tag if you are not a new user who joined Steem via this contest.
- Every Steemian who joined the contest, must make a post listing all the members they onboarded and linking to their introduction post so we can verify the authenticity of both the competitor and the New Steemians. The timeline for making this post is from June 13th at 00:01 PST to June 14th at 23:59 PST. The tag you should use for this post must be "HelloMassAdoption" and "blocktradescontest"
Now go read those again so you don't get disqualified.. don't worry, I'll wait. :)

This contest started on Wednesday, May the 22th at 00:01 PST, and ends on Wednesday, June the 12th at 23:59 PST.
Any account created outside of this timeline will not count for determining the winners. THEY HAVE TO POST THEIR INTRODUCTION POST BEFORE THE DEADLINE.
