Gloomy Weather, Positive Vibes – Over 20,000 Steps and a Smile on My Face

Today started with university lectures. The first two were actually pretty good. The lecturer was a bit all over the place, but you could tell she really knew her stuff and wanted to share as much as possible. It was informative, engaging, and definitely worth attending.

Unfortunately, the third lecture was a whole different story. The topic – teachers' mental health – sounded important, but the way it was delivered... not great. Honestly, I felt like the professor could’ve used some help with her own mental health. After about 20 minutes, I realized it just wasn’t worth my time or energy. Sometimes you’ve got to protect your peace and walk away. So I did.

I took a short walk to reset, then headed home to make lunch for the family – something warm, quick, and comforting. After a bit of rest post-lunch, my husband and I went for another walk. Originally, I set a goal of 5 km, but despite the gloomy weather and a light drizzle, we ended up doing 8 km! We got into a great conversation, the rhythm of the rain and rustling leaves created a peaceful vibe, and before we knew it, we were way past our goal.

To wrap up the day, I squeezed in a short home workout – a bit of step, some TRX, and bodyweight exercises. Nothing fancy, but every bit of movement counts!

Final step count? 20,577. Not bad for a day that started off pretty uninspiring.

Moral of the story? The weather doesn’t have to be perfect for the day to be active, productive, and full of good energy!

Dziś dzień zaczął się od uczelnianych wykładów. Pierwsze dwa – całkiem spoko. Babeczka, co prawda, trochę chaotyczna w wypowiedziach, ale widać, że zna się na rzeczy i chciała przekazać nam jak najwięcej. Było merytorycznie, konkretnie i... dało się słuchać. Niestety, trzeci wykład to już zupełnie inna bajka. Temat niby ważny – zdrowie psychiczne nauczycieli – ale sposób prowadzenia... dramat. Szczerze? Miałam wrażenie, że pani profesor sama powinna zacząć od siebie. Po 20 minutach wiedziałam, że szkoda życia i wyszłam. Czasem trzeba zadbać o własne zdrowie psychiczne i nie męczyć się na siłę.

Zrobiłam krótki spacer na rozruch, później obiad dla mojej rodzinki – coś domowego, ciepłego i szybkiego. Po obiedzie chwila odpoczynku i ruszyłam z mężem na kolejny spacer. Początkowo celowałam w 5 km, ale mimo ponurej aury, lekkiego deszczu i ogólnej szarówki – przeszliśmy 8 km! Super się rozgadało, nogi niosły same, a szum liści i stukot kropel deszczu robiły fajny klimat.

Na koniec dnia dorzuciłam jeszcze krótki, domowy trening – trochę stepu, trochę TRX-ów i praca z ciężarem własnego ciała. Nic szczególnego, ale przecież każda aktywność ma znaczenie! A licznik kroków? Zatrzymał się dziś na 20577 – całkiem nieźle, jak na dzień, który zapowiadał się raczej nudno.

Morał? Pogoda nie musi być idealna, by dzień był aktywny i wartościowy!

Hahahaha, the lecturer lacks what she is teaching which is mental health because she's not properly organized meaning that she is suffering from mental health

Well, unfortunately, he's not a good teacher, but sometimes you have to grit your teeth and get through the class.
