We set out for the NW Washington Fair this morning around 10 AM. When we arrived, there were only a few folks there. 90% of the booths were closed up and buildings with exhibits were locked up tight! Hmmmm…….not sure at first what to make of that. It turns out that apparently most things open at 11:00 AM! It’s never been that late in all the years we’ve attended!
We had to wait a while to get in to see about my picture. I come to find out from Jan, who attended Friday past, that she said it did ribbon, that it got judge’s choice. All I saw was a thanks for participating sticker on it. So I’m not sure what to say. Here is the picture in question.
A beautiful shot, if I may say so myself! Anyway, regardless, I am happy to have entered.
There are always lots of events. I love to watch the draft horses pull the wagons. This team was one of my favorite as the color of the horses was extremely appealing to me.
The brought in four teams at a time, and once all are in, they do a ‘free drive’ where it appears there should be a half a dozen or more collisions, but somehow the drivers avoid one another!
This next picture is of a 13 year old girl who is an amazing, if crazy stunt rider!

We did go visit the horse barn after the show. They were all enjoying a little snack!
There was this crazy motor cross thing going on. Personally, I think they’re a bit crazy!!
I can’t even begin to imagine what that must be like! Crazy for sure!
It was getting into early evening, so we decided to call it and head to Starbucks for a hot coffee. As you can see from the various photos, it was an overcast day with the temperature barely making it to the upper 60’s! We didn’t plan for that as it was actually warmer in the morning!
