Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was supposed to be the last good weather day before it warms up and starts raining. So I wanted to visit one of the bigger parks to enjoy the cold and the snow. But I am not sure what happened, even if I got up somewhat earlier than usual, it was mid afternoon way too quick, and I decided it wasn't worth driving anywhere.
Instead we just started a walk to the nearby forest, as most days.
The Moon was already out there in the blue sky.
But just a few meters out of the yard, Le Chat jumped out of bushes and clearly indicated she wanted me to follow her back home. I understood why, she just wanted to get in.
We left her inside and started back our walk with Kaia.
She went off-leash immediately of course. That's another advantage compared to bigger parks.
She also tried recreating her own version of the iconic Lion King scene.
We didn't have as much time as the day before, but enough to walk quite a lot inside the forest before sundown.
We even stopped by the playground. It's strange to me, it was completely empty and based on the amount of snow on the benches and everywhere, it's been empty for a while. When I was a kid, we'd be outside at the first sight of a snowflake!
Anyways, we found another trail to leave the forest, giving Kaia opportunities to find new scents.
Just like the day before, I was worried about the clouds and that maybe it'd be too late, but we headed West anyways to try and catch the sunset.
We found great views and colors all the way to the golf course.
We started on our way back because I thought the show was over. But just minutes later, we could see in the distance the sky completely on fire!
Even on the opposite side of the sun, plenty of pink colors, just beautiful!
The most surprising was above and behind our house. It almost looked like a horror movie!
Quite impressive from the backyard too, in spite of all the trees.
It was quickly gone though, and the day was over! Inside the house, Le Chat was waiting for us with one of her famous disapprobation face.
Well, it didn't go as planned, but in the end the day was pretty good, including of course lots of outdoor time in the neighborhood and the forest. Too bad all that snow will probably melt quickly this new week.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
